マルチパーティタムは、南アフリカを生息地とするジャスミンの一種。16世紀にアラブ人が持ち込んだのをきっかけに、スペインで広まった。18世紀には、フランスの香水産業におけるその重要性は計り知れないものがあった。白くて香りのよい星形の花を咲かせる。
