フェスツカ・グラウカは、庭で本当に愛されている数少ない草本植物の1つ。 その細長い青みがかった葉は非常に美しく、踏まれても切られても問題なく耐えることができる。
通称：フェスツカ・ブルー、アオスゲ、ラストンもしくはカニュエラ 成長速度が非常に早いので、成木になって若いときよりもさらに美しく見えるようになるまで、それほど長くは待つ必要がない。寒さや霜にも強く、温帯地域では一年中屋外で栽培することができる。
