ベニカナメモチ、もしくはレッド・ロビン
常緑で、高さ3mにもなる低木。成長が早く、栽培も簡単である。葉は細長く、長さ10cmほど。一貫して非常に光沢のある質感を持っている。その年の季節によって色が異なるのが特徴である。名前の由来は、苞葉が芽吹くときに赤い色をしているため。
