ユッカ・リギダ
樹木に似た構造を持ち、幹が分岐することはほとんどない直立植物で、高さ5mに達する。幹の先に、長さ30～70cm、幅1.2～2cmの黄色で縁取られた非常に装飾性の高い堅い青色の葉をロゼット状につける。春に短い花柄に白い花を房状に咲かせる。果実は黒い種子が詰まったカプセルである。一度開花したものは、さらに頭部を展開する。
