カナリーヤシ
大型のヤシの木（高さ10〜30メートル）。太く非常に革質の幹（支柱）と、密な羽根状のシュロの葉（ヤシ）は、大きさ2〜3メートル。花はオレンジ色の房状に密集して咲く。果実はデーツより小さく、食べられない。通常、カナリア諸島の海抜10〜500mの低地に育ち、植生の一部となっている。
