ユッカ・フィリフェラ
低木または樹上性の植物で、年とともに枝分かれし、高さは10mにもなる。葉は長さ0.5メートルほどで、硬く、緑色で、縁に白い繊維がある。花はクリーム色で、直立した大きな花序を形成し、食用となる。また、楕円形の果実も食用にもなる。庭に群生させたり、単独で植えたり、ロックガーデンにもよく使われる。
