Citrus Reticulata – Mandarin
This is a tree which belongs to the citrus botanical genus, in the Rutaceae family (which has more than 1,600 species), similar to the orange tree though smaller and of a spherical shape. Its pulp is made up of several juicy segments, full of vitamin C, flavonoids and essential oils.
This tree is ordinarily known as a mandarin tree and its fruit as mandarin, although these names are not exclusive as the Citrus × tangerine is often referred to in the same way.
Available: the clemenules variety, with fruit is available from November to January, flowering in March and April.
