Pittosporum tobira tige
Common name: Pitosporo.
A well branched straight-standing shrub which forms pretty hedges. Its oval-shaped leaves with their wavy down-turning, have a shiny dark green colour which remain throughout the seasons. It flowers from April to June in small, very fragrant creamy-white bunches.
This is one of the most salt-resistant plants available and it seems to have found its perfect habitat in the Mediterranean. The difference between this and its baby brother is in the diameter of its leaves which are twice the size. It is also a more intense green colour than the “nanum”.
Origin: China and Japan.
Little watering. Sun and semi shade.
